Overview

FLOWSOLV™ is a liquid and gas flow calculation software package to size meters and verify flow computer calculations. FLOWSOLV™ provides robust calculations with rigorous traceability to national and international standards. Includes a unique Engineering Units Converter.

FLOWSOLV(tm) is designed to provide ease of use with the following powerful and flexible features that do not limit users:

~ SOLV-EXPLORER is a navigation window with a menu tree comprising SOLV-PROJECT's made up of SOLV-SET's which in turn are made up of individual FLOWSOLV(tm) calculations. Each SOLV-PROJECT has it's own database which is set-up transparently whenever a new project is created. SOLV-SET's are then added to SOLV-PROJECT's and may then be populated with calculations. Calculations may be tiled or cascaded on the desktop for ease of access and the calculation currently in use is highlighted in the SOLV EXPLORER bar. SOLV-PROJECT's, SOLV-SET's and calculation are automatically named and numbered and may be renamed at any time. Calculations may be cut or copy and pasted from one SOLV-SET to another.

~ PROPERTIES window that displays compliance with standards for the calculation currently in use so that traceability in ensured

~ MENUBAR provides drop-down menu's to access all the calculations and facilities.

~ TOOLBAR similar to the SOLV-MENUBAR providing direct access from  graphical icons.

~ STATUS bar at the bottom of FLOWSOLV window provides compliance status and program execution warnings.

~ ON-THE-FLY UNIT CONVERSION a comprehensive unit conversion database conforming to   API2564, BS350, ISO31 and IEEE10 provides fully traceable engineering unit conversion    the changes the input value or result to the new unit.

~ DECIMAL PLACE & SCIENTIFIC NUMBER FORMAT allows the number of  decimal points to    be adjusted. The full number of decimal places is displayed whenever the mouse        pointer is rolled over an input or result.

To use the calculations you need a some understanding of liquid and gas measurement. For an overview of fiscal metering we recommend two publications by the Institute of Petroleum. These publications provide an introduction to fiscal liquid and gas metering systems.
